Aartifi-IT:
I am a British born Indian, who lived most of my life in the ever-so beautiful Harare, Zimbabwe and now living the dream in the gorgeous city of Vancouver.
A dancer by heart and a fashionista by heart and mind.
This blog is exploring the world of fashion, art, dance, food, love and everything that inspires me!
A little bit about me:
I am married to the love of my life… in this blog, I tend to refer to him as M!
I, of course, love everything to do with fashion….
I have my own South Asian Bridal Couture collection – have a look at it: Aartifi
I was born with an enormous need for affection and a terrible need to give it – Audrey Hepburn. – this is on of my favourite quotes, and it pretty much sums me up in one sentence!
I love painting my nails… and am rarely seen without them painted
I LOVE food… everything and anything food related..
Just Married & Hungry!
So… I recently merged my food blog with Aartifi-IT, in order to keep them both in the same place… so here is a little bit about why I started it:
Well, I have always been that girl who has relied on her mother’s cooking – even though I lived on my own for 10 years, I always seemed to have food cooked for me or if I did ever cook, it was something very quick and easy and basic.
However now, having just recently gotten married – I have to cook – EVERYDAY!
I never used to like cooking, I’ve always loved to eat, but cooking not so much – but now my love for cooking is slowly increasing to the same level as my love for food. I do have to thank my dear husband for that – he always eats what I make (even if it goes totally wrong) and he is always in the kitchen with me, helping me and making me laugh! Unlike me, he loves to cook!
My dear mother (to me – the best cook ever) put ALL her recipes together for me and my sister so that when the day finally came that we got married and had to start to cook for ourselves it would make life easier for us! THANK YOU MUMMY! Her recipes are a life saver and I have come to believe that every newly wedded couple (especially girls who haven’t needed to cook much before) could do with a book like this.
This bog will share with you my mum’s recipes and some experimenting of our own too!
So here’s to my mum, husband and good food – I hope the food posts on this blog help many newly wedded couples (and everyone else) to enjoy good food as much we do!
